Yuntaa was set up in August 2006 by Jan Lambrechts, Nadia Yoosuff and Andrew Barret. This young team put their efforts into a unique project: to launch an online backup platform.

The result has become more than just a virtual storage space for files. Yuntaa is an efficient, user friendly and democratic website. Users not only get access to personalised webspace, they can also manage and share their files online with other Internet users. In the meantime, Yuntaa members now form a tight-knit Internet community.

Moreover, Yuntaa is following new developments closely. New tools are offered regularly. We are currently working hard on a business version, Yuntaa.biz.

Who are we?

An international team of young enthusiastic people are behind Yuntaa. Of course, they are all infected with the Internet virus.

Jan Lambrechts (CEO and founder)

Jan is the inventor of the Yuntaa concept. This mastermind immediately realised that only user-friendly, efficient and innovative websites are successful on the Internet. His personal challenge is to give members the very best web environment, with excellent service. This is why he continually monitors the content, functionality, communication and marketing at Yuntaa.

Andy Barrett (CTO)

Andy leads a team of 20 programmers. He is a database guru, wizard and expert all in one. Oracle and Linux no longer hold any secrets for him. SQL and database reports are this man’s biggest hobbies and his laptop is his most faithful ally. He is constantly tinkering with functionality to make Yuntaa the perfect website.

Nadia Lambrechts (COO)

Nadia takes care of day-to-day operations, and ensures that the release of new features always runs smoothly. Issue and bug management are her specialisations. In other words, she ensures that Yuntaa remains a frustration free website. She also has expertise in Human Resources and quality market research.

Luc De Vos

Internet pioneer Luc is no stranger on the web. He is the founder of EUnet, the first commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Belgium. Luc was also one of the key figures in setting up and developing PING, Planet Internet, Qwest, KPN Belgium, Stepstone, Starlab and Neo Group among other ventures. He works for IWT as a consultant. This Computer Science Engineer is also the chairman of the Board of Directors of Arkafund and Yuntaa.

Jan Vanhoyweghen

Jan is a sales engineer. He uses his managerial skills during mergers and acquisitions. At Corelio and Arkanfund he focuses on ICT investments inside the media. In addition, he is the chairman of the well-known Brussels arts centre CCNOA. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Yuntaa.

What do we do?

Yuntaa offers an Internet platform on which users can place all of their files. A stolen or crashed computer? No problem, your files are safe on our servers. This means that all lost files can be recovered with one mouse click.

Security is Yuntaa’s greatest trump card. The Oracle database is secured at several levels with the 'Defence in Depth' strategy. This is the same strategy that is used by the US Department of Defense. Yuntaa only uses the best servers and storage media to save your data. All of the systems are monitored around the clock, seven days a week.

Moreover Yuntaa offers a range of possibilities. Not only can you save your files online: you also have a range of options. And these options are still being extended.

All of your files are always available anywhere in the world. Uploading, processing and structuring files is child’s play thanks to ZOHO.

Moreover, you can share files with anyone you want. Whether that is a select club of friends or the world. You can even share your opinion via the Yuntaa blog.
